Preferred Vendors
In the Portland and Surrounding Markets
Wedding planning is tricky.
Chances are you've never been married before (open-minded hello to all my frequent fliers). So, putting together the perfect day on your first try is no small feat. We felt that having a vendor-vetted place to start is a convenient "something borrowed."
We don't put anyone on our preferred vendor lists we haven't worked with, so if you like us, you'll like them.
We can't understate the value of booking vendors you know will work well together. As a vendor, we're offering you an experience that, ideally, you can consciously enjoy. Part of being present for the good stuff is having a team of folks who can solve your problems before they arise.
Oh, also, I don’t get anything from these folks. Some don’t know they’re on this list; I just like ‘em and they make me better.
Photographers
The video and photo teams are two vendors you want to play well together. There are only so many angles in even the best venue, and the photo and video teams will work together all day. A lousy photo/video combo will compete, but a remarkable duo can set each other up to capture your wedding in a way better than they could alone. So here are the photographers who have our back.
Planners
Get one. Please, for the love of love, get one. Here are our favs. These are our patron saints of the industry: the people who make the day go as expected, the closest thing to wedding insurance you can buy.
DJ's
There's one vendor, above all, that influences the mood of the wedding, and that's your DJ. We have an intimate relationship with DJs because we need your vows, toasts, and a busy dancefloor. A good DJ can directly improve a wedding film. A bad one can forget the speakers (we've literally seen that), so we want our clients to have a good one. So here are the folks we at Mac Wedding Films can rely on, again and again, to be there on time, with all the right cables, and work their party-startin' magic.
Venues
When you ask for a quote from any vendor, they will want to know when and where it's happening. That's why we suggest starting with your venue. Here are the spots we love to be at.
